In an effort to protect our residents from the spread of Covid 19, and in accordance with recommendations from the CDC, the Ovid Township offices will be closed to the public until further notice, effective immediately.
Elected Officials and the zoning administrator are available via phone, email, mail, and the drop box located on the north drive of the parking lot. Questions and concerns will be addressed on a case by case basis.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE WR ZONING DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that, effectively immediately, Ovid Township shall require all contractors and property owners proposing to construct any impervious surface or structure less than nine inches in height (examples: decks, walkways, sidewalks, driveways, etc) on private property in the WR (Waterfront Residential) Zoning District to obtain a zoning permit prior to beginning work. The purpose of the zoning permit shall be to ensure compliance with the Township’s Zoning Ordinance, which restricts the maximum percentage of impervious surface on a lot in the WR District to 50% of the lot area (see Section 12.01).
