The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Township master plan and the
zoning ordinance for possible revisions and/or amendments. The meeting
will be held virtually per Public Act 228 of 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-
19 pandemic.
All voting members of the Planning Commission will be participating
electronically.
The general public may participate in the meeting electronically by using
the Zoom link or dial-in phone number below, which will allow for two-way
communication during public comment periods and allow for the general
public to view and hear all comments of the voting members of the Planning
Commission.
Residents can contact members of the Planning Commission in advance of
the meeting to provide input or ask questions on any business that will
come before the Planning Commission. Contact information is available on

OVID TOWNSHIP
Notice of Retail Marihuana License Applications
Pursuant to Ovid Township Ordinance # 29 and 30, Ovid Township will be accepting applications for Retail Marihuana Licenses.
These ordinances provide for two (2) Retail Marihuana establishments in the Ovid Township Enterprise Zone, located in the area of Fenn Road and I-69.
The application acceptance period will run from February 1, 2021 through April 30, 2021. The application is located under Forms. Aforementioned ordinances can be found under Ordinances. There will be no cap on the number of applications available.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
In an effort to protect our residents and staff from the spread of Covid-19, and in accordance with recommendations from the CDC, the Ovid Township offices will conduct business through our service window.
Elected Officials and the zoning administrator are available via phone, email, mail, and the drop box located on the north drive of the parking lot.
The zoning administrator is available during regular posted hours and zoning items will be addressed on a case by case basis.

OVID TOWNSHIP
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE WR ZONING DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that, effectively immediately, Ovid Township shall require all contractors and property owners proposing to construct any impervious surface or structure less than nine inches in height (examples: decks, walkways, sidewalks, driveways, etc) on private property in the WR (Waterfront Residential) Zoning District to obtain a zoning permit prior to beginning work. The purpose of the zoning permit shall be to ensure compliance with the Township’s Zoning Ordinance, which restricts the maximum percentage of impervious surface on a lot in the WR District to 50% of the lot area (see Section 12.01).
